Let's understand how bomb suits protect the bomb squad with the help of 3D Animation.

Three major impacts take place when a bomb explodes. Firstly, the broken pieces of bomb get inside the body of the person with the speed of a bullet. Second - High pressure shockwaves get generated. Third - the person under the influence gets fatal burns.

But the outer layer of the bomb suit is made up of Nomex fibre which is a Fire Resistant. The shockwaves are absorbed and evenly distributed across the whole suit by these 30 layers made up of Aramid Fiber, which protects the internal organs of the person from getting damaged.

The front portion of the suit is the ballistic panel. This ballistic panel holds two plates inside it - the Ceramic plate and the Steel plate. This Ballistic panel and the helmet protects the person from the high speed projectiles generated due to the blast.

Apart from this, if this person is more than 9 meters away from the location of the point of the blast, he will get minor injuries, if he is between 3-9 meters of the range, he will get heavily injured, and if he is within the 3 meter range, his death in inevitable.
