Nice tut Brendan, Thanks. But what if I want to move that runner into a new background? Copy paste, or do I just open a new image and drag it there?

Thanks this is so easy to understand even for me, because even though Im an Adobe Photography Plan subscriber I only ever use Lightroom, because even though Photoshop is available to me I rarely go near it because I find it complicated and non intuitive, so many many thanks for this great walk trough of this process.

Thank you for the video. You should magnify the areas of the screen that you are talking about. They are hard to see.

Now what do we do with it? e.g how to save it? If I want to use the pic by transforming to another picture I also get the deleted background.

If you zoomed up closer to tool bar it would make this video better!

Question please
If I have my selection made, like you did here, can you please explain the difference between creating a layer mask and creating a new layer “via Copy”.

Reason I ask, is I am confused as to what I should choose and why?
What is the advantage or disadvantage on using either or?

I need to design my tattoo and use many small selections of “parts of a selection” by this is mean..
example….a branch from a tree and add that onto a different section of that tree, to make the tree have more branches.

I use make layer via copy so i can easily manipulate the selection by repositioning it anywhere I want…but it creates a huge amount of layers and it gets confusing after a while 🥴.

Am i doing this process right or is there easier ways to achieve what i want?

Love your videos and learning heaps
I only just started using photoshop and so it’s a steep learning curve.
Thanks in advance, maybe you can make a video about ….How to deal with selections and how to use and manipulate them 🤔🤷‍♂️
