So not just killing the wing person but declaring a patient braindead that recovered?

I find it odd that family would just give consent for end of life support over the phone and not go see the loved one in the hospital before making that decision.

Part of my job used to be triage at the ER. I was always SO PARANOID about something like this happening. Wrong chart/wrong patient etc. Other staff would get mad bc if I didn’t have the 3 mandatory identifiers for a chart I would create a blank one - what we were supposed to do. I would give nursing staff the medical record number for the chart we thought it might be but weren’t 100% for - if they wanted it but I wasn’t about to take the fall for choosing the wrong chart resulting in the wrong med etc. If they wanted to take the risk then thats on them but this is the type of situation I was trying to avoid.

Mike said, "I don't get it." Mike is upset. His family chose to take him off life-support pretty much on a whim.🤣

I'm suspicious of AMR, the ambulance company, because I had a bad experience trying to get a bill paid with them. I felt like there was general mismanagement, although I had a wonderful driver. I don't know what their part in this mix-up was, but the fact that they're included in the lawsuit raises a red flag. My condolences to the family, I hope you find justice and peace.

Well the sunny side is that the family is going to get a heck of a payday ..& the plug probably would have been pulled either way, but still its sad they couldn't see their loved one. -Although the other family got to see their "dead" guy again, A miracle!

This is what happens when Hospitals lower standards to support DEI.... Having Fun Yet?

It's NOT a KGW investigation, you only report on it; and I hope these families get BILLIONS as this is not the first screwup they've done. EVERY SINGLE TIME I've had to be in there, they've massively screwed up and don't deserve to be operating in WA at all!! Oregon? Yes, because OR is one of the WORST STATES AROUND.

There is no such thing as brain dead. People are alive and obviously can wake up. As we see.

The wrong patient wasn't taken off life support. The wrong FAMILY (Mike Beehler's family) was contacted to request permission to take Steak-Choking-Man off life support but even then Steak-Choking-Man wished to remain on life support. (Steak-Choking-Man must have had a living will.) But because hospital staff were looking at Mike Beehler's medical record instead of Steak-Choking-Man's medical record, hospital staff didn't know that Steak-Choking-Man wished to remain on life support. The video title is deliberately false to get more clicks (probably).🙄
