Install BattleNet on your Steam Deck (2024)

Please note that in this video, I saved all of this to my SD card (to save that internal storage space), but if you're saving to the internal storage the process is the same (your save locations will just be different)

Everything works up until 3:15. I install it to my downloads folder to move it to a desktop folder i create, but no files appear except for the original setup.exe, so it just re-installs everytime. Any suggestions?

I downloaded the installer and placed it as a non steam game, it runs and I install the client, even manage to install diablo 4. But the moment I closed that installer exe form steam, everything got wiped out. No more battle net or Diablo 4 install. What as I doing wrong? Seems to happen to everything, I install using the add non steam game.

Hey man thank for the videos, I’ve install battle net and wow classic on my program files all good I can start the game from my desktop mode but look like it can’t get the console port to work, I’ve follow your instruction but in my wow classic files there is no addons files, I’ve created on but no add on appeir in my game menu :(

Dolphin does not appear to show the file directory for the World of Warcraft folder. I am wondering if this is an issue with proton or Dolphin? Though I can load WoW, I cannot extract addons into the appropriate directory. When I tried modifying access through the terminal as sudo user, it couldn't even see it either. Suggestions (other than get an SD card)?

Your guide worked perfectly. But strangely when I try to start wow in gaming mode the screen goes black and everything restarts. But when I run in desktop mode, everything works perfectly ?

This worked great for me. Is this launchable from within the non desktop mode? I find that once I launch in Desktop I cant use the steam button anymore. Pretty much stuck in wow until I shutdown the game.

are you doing this with the deck docked to a computer? cause when I do it from the deck itself everytime I try to log into battle net the mouse & keyboard freezes everytime. I could still use the touchscreen but even when I try to input my info it will go away it’s completely useless.

Why exactly where you not chosing SD in the consoleport plugin for keybindings?

Battlenet will just load forever when prompted to enter your credentials. I'm stuck

Edit: Tried a different proton, it logged me in.

I'm having issues getting my keyboard to type more than 1 letter before closing the keyboard and when I reopen it, it automatically erases the only letter I could add. Any possible solutions to this?

Edit: Disregard. I saw your comment about the use for a keyboard to get past this. I ordered a docking station to I can plug my keyboard and mouse in and hopefully finish watching your video tomorrow with another edit of success! :)
