Never considered this. Definitely something to have in mind when proposing worker coops as a mean of getting beyond capitalism

No one in these comments seems to understand that we're talking about the division of Labor between the supervisors and the supervised. No one brought up specialization of roles or anything like janitors doing dental work. We're talking about rotating supervisory responsibilities like scheduling, as is EXPLICITLY MENTIONED IN THIS VIDEO. clean your damn ears out and listen next time.

Doesn’t really resolve the issue of commodity production but it’s a step maybe in the right direction

Workplace democracy can still have a division of labor that suits each person's skill set without rotation.
Supervisory roles that exist under capitalism wouldn't need to exist in a cooperative.
There's no reason the administrative roles would have more "say" than any other. 'Obviously' the statement that it they simply would is false...

Job rotation sounds like a really bad idea. We specialize into roles specifically so that people have the level of expertise necessary to do what they are doing

If everyone was trained according to their ability and rewarded according to their needs, then what is the point? It looks like you are mostly concerned about pretense of management and burnout from repetitive jobs, but when education and training are done properly and society at large is also fairly constructed, the risk of spending one's life taking orders from someone of inferior training and ability is negligible. If you've already been given the very best job you can accomplish and your boss is almost guaranteed to know more than you about the work you are doing, once again, what is the point?

It’s a little idealist, although i think it’d be a great improvement. We would still have co-ops out competing each other causing no stable job system. Markets will still distribute based on wealth rather than need. Shouldn’t we look more at central planning?

I don't mind the dentist sweeping the floor but I don't want the janitor pulling my wisdom teeth.
