Very true. When you give your life to Jesus Christ The Ten Commandments becomes a promise rather than a burden.
You will Not do those things because The Holy Spirit will guide you away from those things.
This is why Christianity is NOT a religion but a relationship with Christ Jesus Son of The Living God.

I have heard this idea before and i think it is correct. I was a heroin addict for 30 years did numerous years in prison. I found Jesus and i mind has beem miraculously transformed.
The mind i have now "shall not" do the things i used to do. Just the idea is abhorrent to me now. When before i used to enjoy hurting oeople and being a criminal, now the thought of the things i used to do disgust me. Thank you God for saving me from this body of death.

When you don't have a relationship with the Holy Spirit, it's TRULY 10 Commandments that are condemning. When you Are sealed by and commune With the Holy Spirit, they then become your 10 Promises: you Shall not (want to) have any other gods, you Shall not (want to) steal, you Shall not (want to) murder etc. because you won't want to break or hinder your relationship with your King of kings & Lord of lords.❤

Loving God teaches us to love ourselves and one another rightly.

Our growth in grace gives us the wherewithal to abstain from the love of this world and the things within. That's where our enemy attacks.

Through fear greed lust of the flesh, lust the eyes and the pride of life.

Most take the Word lightly. The flesh is deceptive and weak. Its only when can have victory through our obedience to God in Christ. Not by power not by might but by His Spirit.

God the Father's Son, the Word, and the Holy Spirit are One. There's no dissimulation or schism in Love.

What makes us different is our belief in Truth. How did we get there by humility. Our willingness to unlearn lies no matter who told it. It's the power of God.

Blessed is he who endures temptations when he has been approved he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.

Proverbs 13:13
Whoso despiseth the Word of God will be destroyed. He who fears the Commandments will be rewarded.
