Hi Gabe. Can we call this Off the Beaten Track with Gabe?

These structures of similar nature are called temples, and not castle simply due to their religious roots/purposes. Anyhow, thanks for sharing this cool video... Do come by to Cambodia if you had a chance, though. Good day. 🙂

Is it just me or has everyone fallen a little bit in love with Mine? Are you gonna take her back home to Hawaii at the end of your holiday? Cool Khmer Castle Gabe!

What's even more amazing is the time, talent and a t of people it took to hand carve. I so enjoy the beauty of old architecture

Not a castle, a temple complex. I can see why you may call it that, tho (Thai: ปราสาทหินพนมรุ้ง - Phanom Rung Stone Castle). The "older" stone is a different kind of stone called Laterite, which comes out of the ground soft then hardens. It's the base stone for the majority of Khmer Architecture. Phanom Rung is on the rim of an extinct volcano too, pretty cool. There's other Khemer ruins to see in Thailand; Phimi is really nice and so in Lop Buri. I'd go to Cambodia, if I were you, tho. Angkor is going to blow your mind.

Like you said - A Mazing. I wonder how many years it took for all those carvings. Thanks for sharing with us. Hi Mine.

I could see you living in Thailand.
Loads of expat Aussies live there.
Our football club is sponsored by a Thai resort owned by Aussies.
The suburb I live in has a lot of Thai families that moved here. I adore their culture, their spirit, their food, the scenery of the homeland... the list goes on.
I guess that’s why I have loved this trip of yours so much.
They have infectious smiles. 😊♥️🤙🏽

Just think of all the workers involved in carving and installing the bricks/rocks in building the temples. Very interesting places. Thanks to Mine and you showing them. They probably aren’t very earthquake proof. What does your hat say?

OMG just noticed you are only 2, 250 people from your silver play button. WOW.
