Thank you dear Fr Warner for your frank and forthright reflection on Sunday mass, and our duties and obligation to keep it holy as the Lord's Day. Actually it is a day when we should desire to thank the Lord and give him glory and honour, rather than look on it as a duty or obligation. That is the sad commentary on how we have watered down the tenets of our faith to suit our convenience and our priorities. Sadly, attendance at Sunday masses has dwindled over the years, as more
Catholics especially the youth, miss mass. We can only pray for a resurgence of our faith. Yes, we all need such reminders to shake us out of our complacency and stupor. God bless you father, and praying for your health and well-being. ❤

What a beautiful reflection today. I totally agree with you about Sunday Mass. I am a fervent believer and never ever miss my Sunday Mass to give our Lord thanks for the week gone by and praising and thanking Him for the week ahead. Yes, years ago I used to go on a Saturday because Sunday was a working day. But subsequently that changed and then they allowed us a half day on Sunday so that we could fulfill our Sunday obligation. Thank you so much Fr. For stressing on this.

Thanks very much Fr. for enlightening us on the meaning of Sabbath. This reminds me of Our Blessed Mother's request to a privileged soul a few years ago, that a Holy Hour should be prayed on Sundays for the "Holy Father, Bishops, Priests and those who profane the Lord's Day ". This does not include the Mass. My family has been praying this holy hour for many years on Sundays. We say the 15 decade rosary, Litany to Our Lady, Sacred Heart, St. Joseph and other prayers too.

Thank you Father Warner for the teaching of the difference between the Sabbath and the Sunday - the Lord's Day - which is as per the Gregorian calendar. The need to dedicate Sunday entirely to the Lord is His Due as our Creator and Provider.
