President Kenyatta slams DP Ruto over cost of living attacks

A fresh round of a war of words has broken out in government with President Uhuru Kenyatta asking his Deputy William Ruto to resign and the latter firing back, dismissing the call by his boss. Speaking at the Labour Day official parade in Nairobi, President Kenyatta charged that Ruto had absconded duty and has taken to criticizing the government from within. The president told off his deputy for his repeated attacks in government over the cost of living saying Ruto should have offered solutions. But in a swift rejoinder, the deputy president accused President Kenyatta of stripping him of his duties and residing the same in other offices and persons. Citizen TV’s sam ogina reports on the latest outbreak of executive skirmishes that had appeared to be on a break in the last few weeks.
