It’s allowed because in the NBA when inbounding, if the ball hits the back of the backboard and lands out it’s ruled out of bounds so if it lands inbounds it should be ruled as in bounds

Yes, only if when you catch it you don't dribble otherwise it's a travel. Just don't take more than two steps before catching it otherwise it will be a travel again. And don't dribble before you throw it if you want to dribble again when you catch it otherwise it's a double dribble.

You would be out of bounds because you jumped in bounds from out of bounds and caught the ball in the air
