Garlic Hummus Recipe
Here's a short and easy recipe for Chunky Garlic Hummus (Masabaha):
Ingredients:
1 can of chickpeas (15 ounces), drained and rinsed
3 tablespoons of tahini
3 cloves of garlic, minced
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
1/4 teaspoon of cumin
Salt to taste
Chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, tahini, minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, cumin, and a pinch of salt.
Pulse the mixture until it reaches your desired consistency. If you like it chunky, process it for a shorter time. For a smoother texture, process it for longer.
Taste the hummus and add more salt if needed. You can also adjust the amount of garlic, lemon juice, or cumin to suit your preference.
Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl or plate.
Drizzle some extra olive oil on top and sprinkle with chopped parsley for garnish.
Serve the Chunky Garlic Hummus with warm pita bread, sliced vegetables, or your favorite crackers.
