"Every business is a software business". This famous quote is more and more true - every business across the planet is transforming and becoming digital. As IT becomes mission-critical, modern cloud applications must deliver outstanding performance, be always available, and operate in the cheapest possible way.

As software engineers developing and operating modern web applications, how do you ensure that? That's a very hard goal, given the complexity of modern IT systems, comprising 100ths of microservices, using different tech stacks, and running on orchestration platforms like Kubernetes across globally distributed clouds.

Stefano is obsessed with performance optimization and, as CTO at Akamas, he drives its vision of autonomous performance optimization. Stefano has more than 15 years of experience in Performance Engineering. Prior to co-founding Akamas, he led the R&D business unit at Akamas’s parent Moviri, working on critical projects for major international enterprises. He is also a frequent speaker at industry conferences around the world.
