Metric is such a great band because they always manage to sound fresh and new, and evolve.... but still somehow manage to have everything they do as clearly Metric. I love this song and if the rest of the album is half as good then I'll be happy

Emily Haines AND the group that is metric have been my security blanket for the past 10 years now. I'm 22 and they have really pulled me through some of my darkest times as a young teen and now into my adult years. I've never fallen out of love. I recently just moved to Nashville TN, and hearing that they were coming to this city has completely psyched me out. I'm so excited to finally see this band perform after following them as a group and their solo talents for so long...My life will finally be complete.  <3

I am in love with Emily's descriptive lyrics and poetic point of view. The organic nature of feeling in her lyrics have noticeably evolved since "Fantasies", and I love the growth. The polished synthpop sound suits them well at this point in their career, and again has been a slow ease into this form, and I feel this song is a culmination of that progress. It even has a descending synth stab that is parallel to the similar ascending synth tone used on Synthetics, which ties them together. I am so excited to hear more! Bravo Metric!

I didn't like that electronic noise backing the chorus at first, but I'm addicted to this song now. I love the increasing urgency (desperation? whatever it is) in the chorus

Once again, different sound and I still love it. Different enough to keep us guessing but you still get that underlying Metric sound, that's the best way to keep reinventing yourself. I'm incredibly excited for this new CD guys. As I always am.
