Speakers Bio: Dr. Naveen Prakash is a Process Simulation Engineer working at Corning Incorporated where he focuses on the mechanics of various glass and ceramic products using analytical techniques, finite element methods & peridynamics. He received his Ph.D. in Engineering Mech. from Virginia Tech in 2017 where he worked on peridynamics modeling of deformation and damage sensing in nanocomposite materials. He was a postdoc at the Los Alamos National Laboratory from 2017-2019 where he worked on constitutive modeling of metallic nuclear fuels. He has published several peer-reviewed research papers as well as technical reports.
