Hilo Orchid Show Unboxing, Haul of all Hauls! Deflasking update and a catasetum repot 😊

A combination haul from the Hilo Orchid Show. Jeremy from S&W purchased a lot of orchids while he was on the Big Island and I got a few for myself as well 😊

We will also update you on the orchids that he deflasked a few weeks ago and do a catasetum repot which was requested by a viewer

Hello Kelly, I was not ready for Jeremy to cut the flower off the catasetum. My mouth dropped open at my table when I saw that he just took his snipping scissors and clipped it off. I understand that strong growth of the plant is what is important and positioning the oldest rhizome to the back of the new pot is what ensures optimal growth for the next growing/flowering season. Hi Kelly. I couldn't stop going WOW all the way through the unboxing. What an amazing lot of plants. I can't get over how tall those plants are, even one of the cattleyas that Jeremy said he wanted to grow bigger had the tallest leaf I've ever seen on a catt. This has been a fabulous video and thank you for taking us to the show.

I needed to be there for this haul. I want to see all the flowers up close and personal. What amazing beauties. You guys must feel the way I do when I get back from Apopka. Orchid Christmas. Beautiful orchids! Love the friendship between you two. So fun to watch you both. When we go to orchid shows and several of us buy orchids, we take colored dots and put our initials on the dots as it gets so overwhelming and then we don't always remember who bought what. 😊❤
