The Paradise Lost trilogy should be on this list! Also, Supersize Me was really entertaining and led to McDonald's dropping the supersize from its menu.

Blackfish (2013) should be on here! Best documentary I have ever seen.

Dear Zachary is the one I think everyone should see. It makes and breaks you multiple times.

Documentaries are certainly one of the best. You get to learn a lot of useful and meaningful lessons while watching them.

Great list. I'd like to add the award-winning docs "Searching for Sugarman", "Sicko", and "Roger and Me".

I have watched Grizzly Man a few times. Timothy Treadwell was absolutely insane and foolish. He could have best helped those bears by never going to Alaska

Fire of Love is another great documentary!
The love and dedication the subjects in the film have for their passion, as well as each other makes it such a tragic yet beautiful story

I've always looked at documentaries, regardless of subject, as a way to inform the mis- or uninformed. For me, a good example would be Woodstock. It was a poignant look at the 60s counter-culture, their dreams and aspirations and the reality of the way things were in America. Billed as three days of peace and music, promoters expected 20, 000 people, hoped for 40, 000 and ended up with nearly half a million, creating a logistics nightmare. Truly one of the most insightful documentaries about music ever created. Cheers....

I’ll always remember my dad sitting me down and making me watch Hoop Dreams. My pops was real big on me going to college (not just for sports, but in general) and wanted me to see the work those guys put in. For any young athlete, I think it’s a great watch!

Thanks for highlighting documentaries, a genre I unfortunately miss out on much. And I think sadly many of us also miss out on documentaries, ,
