Owner is incredibly smart. Dave doesn’t review pizza he gives a score based on how he likes his pizza not how good the pizza is in general. It’s as biased as can be and really makes or breaks some of these spots. They give him this pizza maybe it’s a 10/10 because it’s thin crispy no flop etc etc but they give him a Sicilian now the spot is a 6.5.

I get Dave's reaction though he's there to review the pizza everyone else gets, not a special menu item or one made just to his standards. He's there to let everyone know what their day to day go to is and switching out a pizza made exactly to his "tastes" is like cheating. He's said it before places are catching on and giving him a bait and switch sometimes to get a high score but when other customers flock there they won't be getting the same.
