Honestly, I've never heard of Staind til about 2 years ago. And I started listening to Aaron Lewis 4 years ago. He is definitely a true country singer. It's on the alternative side, but that doesn't matter. I love alternative music as well. This is real talent. REAL TALENT!!! Proud of ya, man.
