I saw Jeff, with SRV, perform this live from the 12th row. I can STILL hear Jeff's guitar tone. it was like none other.
I mean.. SRV was a monster but yeah.. Beck's tone.. omg.

Fun fact: Steve Cropper actually wrote the riff to 'Going Down'. It's from a Booker T and the MG'S song called 'Slim Jenkins' Place', from 1967.

His friend, producer Don Nix took the riff and wrote 'Going Down'.

And being a drummer primarily and guitarist second...you're so right about hybrid picking.

It's like this: Could you imagine drumming with one hand when you have two? Well I liken hybrid picking in the same way for guitar playing.

And I know there are one armed drummers out there but that's not the point. It's like evening it up by having that picking hand doing more than just rhythm.

I hate that people feel the need to be full-on negative. It may not be highest and best version of all time, but there are people on this stage that we will lose over the next few years. You will miss them when they are gone
