Amorim is perfect for united right now, no pressure, no expectations, he comes in ready to take us to the next level and he can work in peace. He gets a perfect start against Ipswich where we should win, actually going to include mufc in my Stake acca for the first time this season 😁 lets do this reds ❤

What would Sky Sports do all day if United didn't exist?

Sky Sports;
Look people we know we said that Moyes would continue Man Utd’s success and that van Gaal was the man to get them challenging again and also that Mourinho was the world’s best coach but Solskjaer was the ideal replacement and that ETH was Europe’s most wanted manager but this time we really mean it, Ruben Amorim will make Man Utd great again and in no time at all.
Oh, forget the other PL clubs they aren’t important.

If he can get those players running for each other and playing as an actual team he is a miracle worker. Never seen a more self concerned group of individuals and I desperately hope their laziness won't have a negative impact on the flourishing career he has built so far.

These media companies have something to say about Amorim every single day since he flew into England.

Amorim was Mourinho intern and said that Mourinho is his role coach model, so the Mourinho reference is accurate. This doesn't mean he his Mourinho, but I'm sure they share a lot...

Amorim's personality is closer to Klopp's, if anything. The comparisons with Mourinho make no sense. They are both portuguese, that's it.

I guess they also both exude confidence, though it feels very different. Amorim's confidence can be seen by how naturally he interacts with those around him (players, press, etc), and how at ease he is when communicating, admitting error freely, and saying things clearly where other managers would rather use euphemisms. He's not combative, like Mourinho. His assertiveness comes from his ability to persuade people.

Mou's confidence back then shone through in the manner in which he made winning feel like an inevitability. There's a quote which he is well known for in Portugal when he was Porto's manager: "If things go according to plan, we will be champions, and if things do not go according to plan, we'll also be champions", then he bangs the table and leaves the press conference. And in the UK, he is of course well known for the quote "I'm the special one".

There's ZERO chance Amorim would ever say either of those two things.

Amorim rarely mentions the refereeing (I say rarely, though I do not recall a single occasion when that happened). He also does not foment the sort of "us against the world" attitude that Mou is known for.

In regards to player management, Mou was much more aggressive towards players, which had mixed results depending on the players. Amorim has a sort of "no man left behind" attitude. He tries to pull everyone up. Ricardo Esgaio would not have survived in that Sporting side if Mou was the manager, rather than Amorim.

And I could probably keep going...

Mourinho is Amorim's role model.

Amorim on Mourinho, "I like United, because mourinho is my role model. He analyses the opponent very well and sets his team up, not just with a certain style of play but thinking a lot about how to adapt to win, and I am a bit like that."

"The impact he had on my career was the way he treated me. He showed me that you can win everything and be a different person than you think. He's a special coach who opened the door for us. I will have time to talk to him, he's very experienced."

Mourinho on Amorim years ago, "I think he has the conditions to be able to coach in any league, and he has the conditions to be able to coach in any club. But he’s in a good league and he’s in a big club. The decision is his and it will be up to the clubs that want him or not, to convince him with more or less arguments. What is clear from my side is that I like the person, and I like the coach very much."

Man United have a hoard of talent in their academy that will step up in the next few years. Kids that are further advanced than Mainoo and Garnacho were at that age. They have acquired rival team academy players like Obi Martin who is only 16 and is absolutely smashing it (scored a hat-trick within 14min of his under 18 debut) and has already made an appearance for the under 21s team against PSV.
Scanlon, Biancheri, Ibragimov, Kukonki, Kone, Williams, Mather, Mcallister are just a few that will be at men's level soon.

Being that half the players that have featured for Man United since 1937 have come from their academy, and they have now had an academy product in EVERY SINGLE competitive match for over 80 years - I am 100% certain Amorim will be looking to the academy before he goes to the open market

So much hype around this guy. I hope he does well, it's about time someone else was challenging for the title rather than City and Liverpool every year. But let's not get too carried away. He hasn't even started yet and people are making out he is some kind of saviour 😂
