My wrist is 7.5" I like 36 to 38mm just fine. 40mm is max for me. If my wrist was that small I wouldn't even consider anything over 38. I don't have to have a clock on my wrist to feel like a man.

I think anything over 34mm works for a men's dress watch or for a retro style. So many iconic watches were that size, including field watches and the Rolex Airking. Why anyone with a 6.5 inch wrist would find 37mm too small is beyond me.
