This was much better than i was expecting, although it did have a couple of flaws, but only a few
That being said, it was a very interesting story which asked a question that has not been asked before in this franchise - 'does humanity deserve to survive?'
The answer was neither dumb nor boring.
It looked at the conflict between man and a machine in a different way than i was expecting, and for once that was a pleasant surprise.

I binge watched it. It kept me on the edge, from beginning to end it’s a 10/10 as a terminator diehard fan this felt satisfying. It’s a break from live action, a lot more blood and gore I fell in love with the terrorizing terminator I fell in love with from the first one.

Just finished watching it! It was great tbh, they did something quite different finally, and they haven't forgotten the horror element of the terminator that made T1 and T2 terrifying! Timothy Olyphant's voice acting, although he had only a few lines, was actually quite perfect as the Terminator. Super excited on your review and obviously can't wait for any news on season 2 lols!

I hope it's good. It reminds me of the violent cyberpunk anime that I grew up with back in the 80s & early 90s (CyberCity Oedo, Angel Cop, Akira, Ghost in the Shell, etc.). It even uses the same animation house as Ghost in the Shell SAC from the 2000s. I still want my damn Cameron-inspired Terminator future war with the bleak blue skies. If we can't ever get a movie out of it, at least make it anime & a video game, although Terminator Sega Cd did a cool rendition of the Skynet future.

Such a refreshing take on the terminator franchise. There was so much depth & philosophical questions to this. Just like T1 & T2 opposed to the run of the mill instantly forgettable garbage that came after that.

I haven't seen Rings of Poo seasons 1 or 2, nor do I intend to. I will give Terminator Zero a chance.

Binged the entire series in one night. Really hoping there will be a second season. Has a great little twist at the end. It has a very Japanese-esque style and storyline. The animation quality is top notch. The english dub doesnt suck.
I will be rewatching it with the japanese language the 2nd time with subtitles.

This is the second anime that has brought a franchise back to life.. first edge runners “cyberpunk” now terminator. I try to tell people who don’t watch anime, how great of a medium for storytelling it is.

I finished it in one day it’s amazing best Terminator thing since T2 . It’s crazy over the top violent does different things here and there tackles the philosophical stuff of A.I ! Terminator zero has twists and turns some I expected some I was bro I didn’t expect that . I hope 🤞🏾 it gets a s2 . The possibilities are endless

I’m four episodes in and it is in fact, pretty damn good. I’d say it could be as strong as Cyberpunk Edgeunners for Netflix if the remaining four episodes hold strong. I would definitely recommend watching it.

Easily the best thing to happen to the franchise since The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

Also, fuck Collider and their review. They’ve been running point for Disney and its Acolyte petition horse shit — as well as endlessly posting the same article about how The Marvels box office deserved better.

That site is 100% bought and paid for by Disney.

My biggest gripe with this show is that, when it comes to the protagonists, these Terminators are Storm Troopers. They can’t hit ANYTHING! Which should be a mathematical impossibility. Spewing hundreds of rounds from a Gatling gun…zero shots landed. Moronic.

Kyle Reese was sent back in time before John Conner existed and that is when he met Sarah and John was born. The movies are based on this narrow time loop of at least the second time Reese is sent back, this time to safe John for the first time. We assume that's the first two movies and then the resistance wins in that timeline.

3 showed judgement day, sort of. Salvation showed the war, sort of. We don't really have the rise of the resistance or judgement day or anything before or after John.

There are plenty of in-universe stories you could write

I'm on episode 4 right now good god is this show terrible, apparently a normal human girl can have a karate fight with a Terminator and physically push it down an elevator shaft, never mind the 100 other problems I am seeing here...
