So he was left used and abused by LA and the community, and people are shocked he took a different path to find his footing??? I’m NOT religious, but this sounds like a kid who was harmed and sought help from above, and received it. As long as he is actually happy, healthy, and safe, nothing matters. Also proud of him for being able to serve to get those benefits! I hope nothing but the best for him!

I’m an atheist but I never shove my beliefs at anyone or expect anyone to think the way I do. I think maybe he just found something that resonated with him in religion and that’s okay. As long as he is not being forced into religion I see nothing wrong with him living a religious life.

It’s okay if he wants to change his life/beliefs but equating being gay to drug addiction or alcoholism is so damaging and indefensible. Hope he heals.

“Back in the day” is crazy to hear 😭I think of old YouTube as 2008, not 2016 😭

I wonder if in the next years we will hear the full story. Cuz there’s nothing wrong with well, finding god and being religious. But the thing about praying the gay away? Nah. Something more happened, something that made him reject that part of him. There’s plenty gay ppl that are religious while not rejecting the gay part. There are lgbt friendly churches, and branches of Christianity. I hope whatever happened that he will truly be happy. Because this is not happiness, if you’re rejecting the part of yourself. It’s not healthy.

I think ppl forget he was an actual child when he was posting. I was completely different at 18 than I was at 15 and also very different from 18 to 20. He changed and that's okay lol. We are so used to seeing creators be so over the top and spastic but most ppl aren't like that in real life..

Oh wow... I made peace with never hearing from him again about 2 years ago but wow.. I hope he goes on a podcast and talks about it because there is a huge difference between walking away from a chaotic LA party life and becoming straight. Not the same thing at all.
I still wish him the best though, I loved his vlogs when he was 18/19 just enjoying his freedom, smoking the lettuce and figuring out what the meaning of life is. I really felt that version of him.

I guess I’m most confused because he wouldn’t be discussing this about straightness. Why is being gay automatically associated with lustfulness?

Who was the boyfriend?
Who left him destitute and unconscious in the subway?
What happened to all of his money?
Where were his friends {Kian, Jc, Trevor, Ricky, Andrew, Jack, and whom ever else}?
What about his producers, directors, actor buddies, musician mates, managers?
Where was Ru Paul?

I think what he’s doing is perfectly fine. I wasn’t very religious growing up but I can relate when he says he went through a really traumatic experience and turned to God for help.

He seems very well put together and overall content with his decision. I think he’ll be okay.

We all grow and change. He’s allowed to live his life AND express those changes. People can have opinions on it, but he doesn’t deserve to be bullied about his choices and lifestyle.

Him saying he couldn’t understand how anyone could think a 20year old would change due to their parents obviously hasn’t heard of the past or conversion therapy. Sad. Just a lost soul thinking they’re wrong for loving since people militarize the word of god. Sad.

Didn’t his comments about finding God and whatever lead him to believe that him being gay made him fall into drugs and shit

There was this boy I went to high school with. He was gay. We all knew he was gay, he knew he was gay, everyone knew except his wife...I remember talking to him and he told me that his religion came first...

The way he lit up as soon as he read the question about Lana. Little glimmer of his self peeked out before he composed himself again. So sad.

This just feels like one major trauma response and he affixed the problem and the trauma on the wrong thing...his sexuality. A very traumatic breakup that lead to him being homeless, blacking out badly, and a very low low, i dont blame anyone for finding solace in faith going through something like that. But to go around and say his sexuality lead him to these terrible vices is the problem. And christianity has a terrible reputation around treating gay people. Since he was in a very vulnerable and traumatic position and very clearly blames his last relationship, he was essentially primed to make this change. His message aint it, and as much as i want to say i hope he hasnt...he very clearly doesn't sound or look happy.

And to think its insane for a 20 yr old who was defiant atm to listen to his parents...bro go talk to more people. There are people who are later in life, defiant, breaks all the rules, who still get swayed by other people.
