On 8 January, Election Commission announced the dates for the Uttar Pradesh state assembly elections. Early trends showed BJP ahead of other opposition parties but, since the last week was full of dramatic twists and turns, trends might have changed. This week nothing went good for BJP as many MLAs of CM Yogi's Government resigned and joined Samajwadi Party. This defected minister list included Swami Prasad Maurya, Dara Singh Chauhan and, Dharam Singh Saini. The trio has joined Samajwadi Party. The loss of this trio could mean the loss of OBC votes share for BJP. The Samajwadi Party is most likely to get benefitted from this. Watch To Know More!
