Alimos beach & bars by drone ~ 4K UHD

O Άλιμος ή Καλαμάκι βρίσκεται στο Νότιο Τομέα του λεκανοπεδίου Αθηνών στην Περιφέρεια Αττικής. Το όνομα Άλιμος προέρχεται ετυμολογικά από την ομηρική λέξη αλς, που σημαίνει θάλασσα στην αρχαία ελληνική γλώσσα.
Σύμφωνα με αρχαιολογικά ευρήματα, η περιοχή κατοικείται από τη Νεολιθική Εποχή (περίπου στο 5000 π.Χ.) και χαρακτηρίζεται ως παραθαλάσσιος πρωτοελλαδικός οικισμός.

Η Μαρίνα Αλίμου αποτελεί μια από τις μεγαλύτερες μαρίνες της Ελλάδας, με περισσότερες από 1.000 θέσεις ελλιμενισμού σκαφών αναψυχής.
Δίπλα στη μαρίνα και επί της Λεωφόρου Ποσειδώνος βρίσκεται το κολυμβητήριο της πόλης, ενώ μέσα στο χώρο της μαρίνας βρίσκεται εγκατεστημένος μικρός αριθμός χώρων εστίασης. Το μέγιστο βάθος της μαρίνας είναι 6,5 μέτρα.

Alimos or Kalamaki is located in the Southern Sector of the Athens Basin in the Attica Region. The name Alimos comes etymologically from the Homeric word als, which means sea in the ancient Greek language.
According to archeological findings, the area has been inhabited since the Neolithic Age (around 5000 BC) and is characterized as a coastal early Helladic settlement.

Marina Alimou is one of the largest marinas in Greece, with more than 1,000 yachts.
Next to the marina and on Poseidonos Avenue is the city's swimming pool, while inside the marina there is a small number of restaurants. The maximum depth of the marina is 6.5 meters.
