I went to my local Goodwill yesterday and picked up a beautiful glass bowl for $13.00 - something I never would've considered purchasing until I started watching your channel. It had a silver sticker that said "Murano/Made in Italy" on it with some other words above it in Italian. I was soooo excited that I had found my first piece of Murano glass!! I turned it over, though, and noticed that the base wasn't polished like you said they should be. After researching it at home I discovered it is not real Murano glass, just manufactured in the style of Murano. I was so disappointed, and will be returning it. BUT...now I know what the Italian wording on that sticker means, and I have learned a great thrifting/resale lesson.

Aquatic turtles, in nature, will pile up on top of each other, basking in the sun, on a handy log. They need the UV in sunlight for proper shell growth.

I think the little basket is sweet grass. I have one just like it from Charleston. They aren’t cheap.

The Santa falling off by far one of the best moments in this video. It scared me then I fell off my chair laughing when she pointed out look 2020. 😂😂😂 The mouse/swan has me confused too. Lol

Sugar lids hang out with mis-matched socks and old Tupperware lids. If anybody knows where that is, please let us know.🌟🥴🤩🥳🌟

LOL, @Crazy Lamp Lady 10:30 ALWAYS ask someone stocking shelves if they have a box of lids you can look through! Depending on who is taking in donations, if someone leaves a box overnight, or brings multiple boxes in during a very busy time, usually; one person helps the donee unload the boxes & 1-3 people start sorting them. If the lid was in a different box from a sugar bowl, candy dish, etc., they usually save them in back in case a different employee recognizes what it belongs too. On top of that, winter is a time that many people purge old things to make room for new gifts. It can get so crazy that employees don’t have time to search for missing items. Plus, I’m sure that employees put out items
w/o checking if everything is intact🤷🏼‍♀️
If there is something I REALLY like & it’s missing a lid, the 2nd half of a S&P set, a spoon, etc.; I’ve had employees let me into the back & look through the "misfit" boxes! The worst outcome would be if they say 'No, we’re to busy, however on __ day, between __ times, it’s less hectic. They have even put the item(s) I’m looking at in the back w/a sticker on it, & a few times I’ve gone back & they had found the missing piece for me!! With the way Goodwill in particular evaluates their employees, I always make it a point to leave a comment explaining how someone went above & beyond, even though it was not asked of them! I don’t think most people realize that the large majority of workers are building up skills, habits, respectfulness & responsibility so they can either move up in the GW Org, or move on to a different company. So if someone goes out of their way to be helpful, regardless of which store they work in, be sure to let a manager know! We love it for the hunt, but; the employees are working towards a better life. There is no better Christmas Gift than to compliment someone who potentially went a long time w/o a compliment.

(🧼 📦 !! If anyone who reads this is a person who drops things off after closing, PLEASE do not leave things that should either go to:— a recycling center, 2– could be used by HFH Restores, & 3– PLEASE NEVER EVER leave Hazardous Waste of any form! No old paint, batteries, meds, used or unused blood sugar monitors, finger lancets or test strips, etc., etc!! If you leave those things, you are costing the store a FORTUNE! A single large Hazardous Waste box ☣️, ONE BOX costs the company $500 dollars! Read your state laws on meds as well! Some meds are allowed to be flushed, other meds you can get a free mailing envelop, ask you pharmacist for options! The stores are also not your personal dump! Again, they pay hundreds of dollars to have their dumpsters emptied! You are costing them $, so in store prices go up to offset their costs. Also, you never know who has totally concealed video. 2020 has sucked enough, so think before acting (and you if you have metal scrap....make sure that you’re not throwing away free $😉) Rant over, lots of hugs, love & prayers that everyone is staying safe & healthy

What you called a pine needle basket looks like a sweet grass basket made in the low country coast of South Carolina. They're VERY EXPENSIVE and making them has practically become a lost art.

The turtle with the holes is a pencil holder. I had a similar one in elementary school and the owl candle is from a candle fundraiser company. I sold them in High School.

I’d put a patch on over the Santa’s eye, make a wooden peg leg and make him pirate Santa
