Question: how do you record a mix using a rotary mixer?

I had a Xone:92. I thought about upgrading to the Xone:96 because the faders were getting loose, but it still sounded great. Then I decided to try the Ecler Warm 4 because I was curious about the rotary control.

Today, I received a brand-new Ecler Warm 4, and I am absolutely shocked by how bad the audio quality is. The low frequencies feel hard and incomplete, the high frequencies are missing, almost like they’re turned down, and there’s absolutely no harmony or richness in the sound. It sounds terrible.

It feels like I swapped my speakers for some cheap, low-quality ones. Before buying, I read everything about it on the internet multiple times—because that’s just how I am. But the moment I turned it on, I thought, wow, what a piece of garbage.

Don’t buy it. Get the Xone:92 instead. There’s no comparison, neither in sound nor in overall feel. It even feels like a cheap product.
