I own a real sub and a super-clone sub. The replica, which is about a year old, runs great and keeps excellent time. Unless you were very well versed in Rolex, I doubt you'd be able to tell it's a replica without taking it off my wrist and inspecting it. That said, the replica cannot hold a candle to the quality of a real Rolex. All the pinions and gears in a real Rolex use hardened steel and are assembled in a clean room. A real Rolex will last multiple generations because of the quality of components and the clean assembly. There's no way a fake lasts anywhere near that long. A real Rolex will also retain it's value, while the replica is basically worthless and can't be resold. While the fakers can make a cheap look-alike, the quality level between the two is MILES apart.

5:03 Did you do ANY research or is this video just an "opinion"? Of course you can sell a replica. Every forum discussing them has a M2M section where they can be sold secondhand. Some vintage replicas that are no longer produced e.g. TC Submariners or ARF bracelets, especially the 63600, even appreciated greatly in value.

I still care about skateboarding, Industrial, Post Punk, House music, and modern fashion. I'm 53 GenX from Chicago born in the early 70's lived through the 80's. I still skateboard at my age, and rock my Wax Trax record label t-shirts... with a Rolex, Omega, or Patek Philippe timepiece.

Correct re overheads etc, however as an example recent video showed a Bugatti air sensor( spare part) cost over 4000 pounds from Bugatti, it was the same Bosch unit as used in a VW Gti cost from VW 140 pounds, no that not a misprint 140 vs over 4000 for the exact same part, tell me “ luxury” brands aren’t ripping people off, including watch brands. Where there’s a demonstrable quality difference then fair enough but the price difference is often out of wack with the quality difference.
