ACROSS THE USA in a 1941 ARMY JEEP with Péwé and Freiburger!

Another Rick Péwé and David Freiburger road trip adventure! In this video we’re driving 2,500-plus miles across the United States in a nearly stock World War II army jeep from 1941 with an engine that had not run since 1986! The goal: survive the backroads from Phoenix, Arizona, to Key West, Florida. See my prior video for the “will it run?” build, and watch this 2.5-hour special for big fun with breakdowns, Americana, amazing sights, and great friends!

This is what I love to do most, so I hope you’ll watch, share, and buy some DED Tour shirts with the Péwé-Freiburger design on the back just like what we’re wearing in the episode. Link below.—D/F

I think I speak for a lot of the community, but this is the kind of content we love to see on youtube.

Pewe seems to be the most chill guy to take a trip with, always stays cool under any situation

I can’t make it through a standard 23 minute sitcom without stopping multiple time but a roadtrip with uncle David and Uncle Rick? A full 2:30 hours no problem! This was amazing.

You are genuinely a good influence on American automotive culture.
More people should do this.
Jump in some junker built out of spare parts with a friend, see the country, talk to locals, eat at weird diners, buy some doodads from a junk shop, see some history, and have an awesome time.
Thank you for taking us along!

The real trick is finding a friend you would want to be around this much

I was the guy in the blue mustang in Tallahassee. Crazy to meet you guys in person. I’ve been watching since I was 10 years old when the first episode episode of the Buick convertible was uploaded. Followed you and Finnegan since day one. Great video. It was so cool to meet you and see y’all drive through my hometown of Bonifay.

The junk yard you found in Sanderson where you say “no one seems to mind” belongs to my husband and he does mind😆 This place was hit by a tornado a few months ago and destroyed most of it. He really enjoyed seeing it on your show.

I've never been so glad to tuck into a two and a half hour YouTube video in my life.

Far and away the best video yet on the channel. Favorite part is how Freiburger says we need to canonball and can’t stop then proceeds to stop every chance he gets haha

Thanks for letting me ride a long. What a great trip. So sad to see the endless parade of dilapidated buildings and hollowed out towns along the way.

I love how once in a while he reaches for a gear that’s not there when it’s wound up. Anybody that driven something low geared has been there great stuff. This watch was awesome just awesome.!!

You do realize that no one else could pull a trip like this off. It’s your expertise with Pewe and yourself that makes it even possible.

The thing that made all the Motortrend shows work were the personalities, and when watching all the ex Motortrend folks make youtubes its clear that the awesomeness has simply returned to the people. Epic road trip!

This video deserves millions of views. If you guys ship the Jeep to Europe, that would top any automotive content on YT right now. Absolutely awesome.

I’ll never forget watching a guy in California cook a beef roast on the turbo of his kw he said it was great. This is bringing back so many memories i got tears in my eyes. That bird wasn’t a seagull but an osprey protecting its nest

That was an Osprey on top of that pineapple. Not a seagull. And that “centipede” was actually a caterpillar. 👍
