This exhilarating piece by Yann Tiersen for the french film "Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain" (original title), "Amélie" (american title), is and always will be one of my favorite soundtracks of all time. The minimalistic style and at the same time soulful emotion of this composition is just breathtaking, don´t you think? For me, it´s sometimes the most subtle tracks that tell the most interesting stories. Anyway, I love Yann Tiersen´s music and wanted to share my take on the piece. I hope also you enjoy it. It really is a special piece of piano music and of course a very special film that comes highly recommended.

This is probably too much information, but im going to say it anyways.

My little sister passed away three years ago and we used to listen to Yann Tiersen all the time together. I havent heard any of his music since she passed. Her birthday is coming up and YouTube decided to throw this into my feed this year...I cannot tell you how much I appreciate hearing such a beautiful rendition. It was such an amazing experience listening to it again. I cried tears of joy, and cannot express my gratitude enough for sharing your wonderful talent.
