Despite it being very different, it still captures the essence of Silent Hill. It's scary, unsettling yet morbidly beautiful. I'm confident Silent Hill as a franchise is going to reinvent horror games as we know it or at the very least, provide not just good horror, but also impactful and emotional experiences.

Seriously, this will be an interesting concept, Ryukishi07 has written some incredibly interpersonal stories that share a horror theme that isn’t traditionally monsters, so I’m looking forward to that aspect of the writing. Along with the setting being in Japan, the folklore, near cult like religious practices, and human atrocities being presented in his older work, we can expect a methodical Silent Hill, maybe even a few gag endings along the way.

The SH Transmission brought us some interesting insight to the future of the IP. Remake looks solid, as long as bloober team don’t try any narrative shenanigans like in that last game, (kinda worried about their technical performance) Return to SH movie sounds fine in theory. Townfall looks to use the skills of that development to get in players heads, Ascension is…gimmicky? Maybe fun to watch. SHf is the one I’m super invested in because, it will have to throw out old conventions about contemporary small town cults. We will see.

Really, really digging the imagery here - the beauty of all the blooming flowers (lycoris / spider lilies - associated with death) juxtaposed with all the pale bodies with holes...

Already evoking feelings of Junji Ito and the movie Incantation, and I love both.
