Is Matthew 28 vs 19-20 a FORGERY? - TRINITY Debate

When discussing the issue of the Trinity, one of the allegation brought forth against it is that the trinity formulae in Matthew 28:19 is not original and there an addition.

In this debate, Adnan Rashid said this said thing without giving an evidence for such, while Dr. James White gives a reply as to the reason why this is just assumption that lack evidences.

The reason why some say it is a forgery is because nowhere in new testemon does any disciple baptize in the name of Father Son and Holy Sprit. If Jesus would have said it then they would have been doing it in the name of these three.
Moreover this verse does not talk about all three being one.

Since there is much debate for and against Matthew 28:19

We’d have to go to scripture, as every time the apostles baptized they did it in the name of Jesus and only Jesus.

So either the apostles disobeyed this command at Matthew 28:19 or Matthew 28:19 was altered.

Matthew 28:19 states to baptize in the name of the Father (YHWH) the Son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit (where is his name?)

Matthew 28:19 was altered in the second century by the Catholic Church to push the false Trinity doctrine (no other scripture says to baptize in any name but Jesus) Acts 2:38/Acts 10:46-58/Acts 19:5Romans 6:3/1 Corinthians 1:10-15/Galatians 3:27

Matthew 28:19 does not say that the Father, Son and holy spirit exist in one divine essence as the Trinity doctrine says. It does not say that they are three persons in one God, all co-equal, co-eternal and consubstantial. The doctrine of the Trinity as taught in churches is not stated in the Bible anywhere. That's why it was necessary for the church in the fourth century to formulate the Trinity doctrine in multiple councils under Roman Emperor Constantine the Great. However, Jesus taught that the Father was greater than he was and he called his Father "my God" even after his resurrection. Also, Philippians 2:9 says that God exalted Jesus to a higher position than he had before. The fact that God exalted Jesus to a higher position shows that Jesus is not equal to God, so God and Jesus are not co-equal as the Trinity states. The Bible also says that Jesus was created, whereas God (whose name is Jehovah or Yahweh) was not created and does not have a beginning. Colossians 1:15 calls Jesus the “Firstborn of all creation” and Revelation 3:14 says that Jesus is the “beginning of the creation by God.” These scriptures show that God and Jesus are not co-eternal.

The verse does NOT prove a trinity. It just reveals the lack of scriptural proof for the trinity in the Bible, where there are hundreds of scriptures that show that the God of the OT and NT is Unitarian.

No trinity in Matthew 28.19
Tertullian is the first to create the new doctrine in 200 a.d
Jesus did not teach this

What a bad answer.. The trinity doesn't exist.. And this verse has been added for the good reason that no disciple baptise in the name of the father, son and holy spirit..!! If it was an order of jesus why they haven't do it???

The Scriptures confirms itself. There are a couple of things wrong with Matthew 28:19. There is one thing that most happened to miss and that is the word (name).

This word in the Greek is singular, not plural. Furthermore, when we compare Scripture to this verse, we see that the apostles only baptized in the name of Yahshua. That is, one name, singular. See Acts 2:38, Acts 19:5, Acts 10:48 the word name is singular in these verses. So, in my estimate we should be baptizing in one name, not three hence the singular (name).

As for the manuscripts… Well, they could have been altered to support the Trinity doctrine. Anything that's only in the Scriptures one time, be suspicious and research it. Being that the apostles did not baptize in all three names substantiates the fact of being altered. What we don't have at all are the autographs which are the original writings of the apostles on parchment. Manuscripts are merely copies. So, if the apostles did not baptize in all three names as we see in Matthew 28:19, then the apostles were disobedient to the instructions of Yahshua. Frankly, that does not seem feasible since they had the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 28:19 was added in bible it's not in original text a great greek Christian scholar Eusebius aka father of Christian scholars he quoted some verses from bible in years 314 you'll find it in his book "the proof of the gospel" Page number 152

"With one word and voice He said to His disciples: "Go, and make disciples of all the nations in My Name, Malt. teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have"

And in acts, romans, Galatians we find disciples baptizing only in name of Jesus pbuh not trinity

Muslims keep on changing the goal post first they will ask where is trinity in the holy Bible when we show them they will say this verse is added to the Bible it is not the orginal one.
Very poor scholarship from the muslim scholars.

Eusebius, the Church historian and Bishop of Caesarea, quoted an early book of Matthew that he had in his library in Caesarea. He quotes Matthew 28:19 (paraphrased) as follows:

With one word and voice He said to His disciples: “Go, and make disciples of all nations in My Name, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you.”

Of course, if you want to get down to the source of who changed it to what it is today, you can look no further than the Catholic Church. In the Catholic Encyclopedia, Volume 2, page 263, it says,

“The baptismal formula was changed from the name of Jesus Christ to the words Father, Son, and Holy Spirit by the Catholic Church in the second century.”

Since the Catholic Church believes they have a right to make changes to the Bible, as they interpret Matthew 16:18, then anyone who believes in the triune formula of Matthew 28:19, is also following what the Catholic Church says. The churches that came out of the Catholic Church in protest (Protestants), still follow the triune formula because of tradition and not knowing any better.

Jesus is the one true God manifest in the flesh.
Peter was not a Trinitarian.
Peter believed in one God that was a spirit, and that the spirit of God was manifest in the flesh in Jesus Christ, and that when you are filled with the spirit, it is Jesus and you. Christ in you the hope of glory.

There is no mystery  about the " christian  trinity".  There is NO christian trinity  in the scripture.   Yahweh's "Trinity" in the scripture IS:" John 17: 20-  26.   ".   May Yahweh give you understanding in these salvation scriptures.  Heb. 12: 14.  Bless you

Isaiah 48 16 “Come near to me and hear this:
“From the beginning I have not spoken in secret;
from the time that it happened, I was there.”

Dead sea scrolls translated from Hebrew affirming the trinity once again.. jesus speaking on the father and holy spirit.

1John 5:7 was as well look it up the Catholic Church altered scripture to fit their trinity doctrine and started killing in-prisoning and persecuting the real church which believed, lived and taught repent be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and receiving the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in tongues! That’s why the real church had to go underground for several centuries
