One thing you might do to help heat the upstairs in your cabin is build a cold air chase in the corner furthest from the wood stove. A simple boxed in 6"x6" flush with the upper floor and running down the corner to about 12" above the bottom floor will allow the cold air to fall from upstairs and helping pull the warm air up. You end up with a circulatory system with the air.

Good morning Morgans and friends. Never have had a mouse in my trailer box but fixed mine a couple months back to avoid it in the future. The mice like to stockpile the hazzlenuts here. I made and have been using 5 gallon bucket traps.

Mike, I used to work for a nationwide retailer. They had on staff a retired exterminator during the period I was a manager for them. He came on site several times while I was a manager, snd his tool of choice to checking access was a No 2 pencil. He said if the pencil eraser would fit in a crack/opening a mouse could enter through that small gap.

I did some pest control for a year or so and we were told that mice can squeeze through a hole as small as a dime and rats can get through a hole as small as a quarter. You can plug the hole with steel wool if you don't have anything else and that should keep them out.

We have a tankless propane hot water heater in our cargo/camper and love it. With dish washing and showers along with just normal hand washing we can go 3-4 weekends of use on a 20# tank. We also have a natural gas tankless water heater in our home and wow has it saved us money on our gas bill. I/we recommend them to anyone who is looking to upgrade their system.
