Sitting here watching your videos when my daughter's boyfriend walks up and says "I know how much you like Germany n'all. Here, a coustomer gave this to me. Told me it was German." He hands me a Zwanzig Schillling, Österreichische National Bank. Wien am 2 Juli 1967. Austrian money. Love the scenic picture on the back.
Humm.... Looking at it closer and remembering that Europe writes they dates Day-Month-Year. My little brother was born the second of July. (But in a different year) Pretty cool!

I’m studying abroad in Germany from this summer to next summer and I hopefully will be working while I’m there. This was absolutely SO HELPFUL! Do you think that you could do a video that’s centered around things you can and cannot do while studying abroad, for example the working restrictions? I have done some research but I still get mixed answers. You’re awesome!❤️

When i planned to move and work in Germany i used a simplified version (enough to not be more than 2 pages in a pdf) of the EU standard. I avoided most unnecessary details.

However it depends on the position you are hunting for, if you speak German (very important) what experience you have already and the character of the company you are in. For example AG type of companies that focus on selling working hours as a source, focus a lot on how productive you are and how experienced you are and less in details not directive relative to that. Other positions focus in different things like languages, personality or other skills. In other words don't do a common mistake: make one template and send it to all. Personalise your CV to the position you want. And of course depending your industrial goals, you will always have companies easy to get you but also easy to fire you if you mess up badly in your testing period.

Thank you very for making this video. Here in Brazil is totally different, we have to be very general on our curriculum. Thanks again for make that clear (in case I'll ever try to work/study in Germany) and take care.

Just an addition to this process. If you have to get EU Blue Card then the German Embassy requires the diploma. If the diploma is not from EU universities then you need to go through Zeugnissbewertung from Sekretariat der Kulturministerumkonferenz hereinafter KMK in Bonn. The process costs 200 Euros and you have to pay the transaction fee. For the KMK process you need to have the notarized copy of the diploma, then the notarized copy grades certificate, the simple copy of the high school - gymnasium and so on but for detailed list of documents needed you have to go to KMK Website and find out what is required for your documents from your country. I have got a job in Germany now waiting to obtain the visa. And the documents like grades transcript should be translated into German for KMK.

Just a"small" Addition:
For some jobs you need a clean certificate detailing your crminal record (Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis I really don't know how to translate that...)
I.e. every job that gives you access to customer data (at a bank, telephon and internet provider etc).If you have an entry in this certificate... you don't need to apply for the job at all

Funny guy! *I noticed that you didn't illustrate a "friendly but determined" expression.* What does that look
like? Also, there must be a cultural gap between Germany and British/American forms of communications.
We're taught "polite" expression as "could and would" softens the statement. While "will" sounds over the
top and very fanatical. I WILL contribute to the company's goal! Boy, a little scary! I would be able to
contribute to the company's goal! Wow, to the American ear, much better! But in Germany, do as Germans if you want the job!

Hallo Dominik. This is unrelated to the video, sorry for that. But I just wanted to know, as a native German, what is your opinion regarding the Count Dankula incident? Do you think he should be framed as a Nazi, or do you think it is an infringement of his rights, as he mentioned it was a joke? Would love to hear your opinion on this. Vielen Dank

Hi there. At the end of the video you're saying to write the letter also in German. Is it really necessary to do it for an English written job offer, too? Do you have experience to apply for an international company? Greetings.
