YES. As a kid we kept the boxes for storage. In fact one of my sets is still stored in the original box.

You can easily oped the punchole ones with a letter opener, without damaging it. The glue isn't that strong

I hate the new one that you punch with your thumb they basically destroy the box making it hard to keep them in good condition

The thumb hole ones are bad on small sets, but the larger ones work better, I personally like them on sets over 50 bucks normally

The punch holes are super easy to me. I don't get the hate.

I use the thumb punches to rip off the back and hold the pieces while I build the set

Punch hole box: get a knife that’s thin. The best are the serrated victorinox kitchen knives. But it has to be like ruler thin.

The box is adhered where the little punch marks are but that’s it. So where the semicircles are slide your knife under the flap and separate them.
