Sometimes, it doesn't matter what your answer is. If you take too long "you're formulating lies". If you answer too quickly you get "you didn't even think about it"

This is hilariously accurate but I don’t have the time or energy for that anymore. I may still need time to think but I don’t care if it’s a trap or my answer offends. I banter with respectful but ruthless honesty. To most it’s endearing but those too sensitive or witless are quickly flushed out of my life.

So true. My wife ask me something and she gets mad because I don't give her an answer like "Snap" it might take a couple minutes but I have to digest what she's saying because sometimes it's a loaded question. We've been married for nine years. She's my best friend but still I don't want to piss her off.

and when thinking about how to say your answers you got to think of words that won't make her feel inferior or show your emotion because she then will get emotional by how you said it or how you always make it about you etc.
