on pages 20 and 21 in the user's manual there is information about the possibility of adjusting the timbre. Pressing the combination of the Bluetooth and - buttons adjusts the bass strength. pressing the combination of the Bluetooth and + buttons adjusts the treble level. the scale for each adjustment is 3 steps.

OMGoodness, I tried this on my Onyx studio 4 and expected nothing yet...it works. The midrange is so much clearer now. This is great for older folks like myself who listen to audiobooks. It also helps me enjoy much of the music I listen to. Thanks so much!

my studio 7 has started to turn off on it's on and constantly disconnects from Bluetooth. I was never a big fan of the sound when it worked, too boomy I gave up on it and purchased another brand that sound fantastic.

i just purchased the 8..my question is can i use it while plug in the ac outlet??will it damage the battery while doing that?i heard others say its completely fine while using it while its plug in..thanks

It is a code that is used in the factory for an extra test. It is not intended to be used at home to continue playing music. Playing in that mode for too long will damage the speaker. The speaker undergoes a factory test for decibels and frequencies. Then the mode returns to normal and the speaker lasts longer.

As Emmauel N mentioned above, press the + and - together will work for Studio 8. But sorry to say that this trick is only take out the bass off, and when you press again the two buttons, the bass will be back again to it's default tone, NOT giving the bass more for 20%.

The video is bad, if you press the Bluetooth button and the bottom -, the bass level is adjusted, it has three levels, if the red LED flashes once, level 1, level 2 and 3 twice, then level 3. If it is press it again it returns to level 1. Likewise with the brightness but with the + button, the led will flash yellow. You are welcome. (Page 20 of the manual)

Well i am not going to tell anyone not to do this. Try it out. but you will not hear that the sound will improve. You will be setting it to Mono. The lauder sound doesn't come with bass and the sound will be scratchy.
