Dang. Already a massive difference with the mids and bass. I use AirPod Pros which aren’t known for being very bassy. So this is stellar. I always avoided high-res lossless because I thought I needed an external Dac for that

One of the biggest downfalls of Apple Music is the EQ selections. They have lossless audio but no manual EQ adjustments??

For eq off is best, hi res lossless is good but you will need a dac amp plugged into your phone with usb, if not pretty much useless

Thank you I use Sennheiser momentum for Bluetooth headphones when I listen to my music and I always wondered why the music volume was never as loud as the actual phone volume I use voiceover cause I’m blind and I would have to turn my volume up to around 90% just to have decent volume I did not know there would be a huge difference between Hi-Rez lossless and simply lossless so I did your suggestions I went in and turned on Hi-Rez, even though it says you have to have the external back now my volume almost completely matches the actual volume and will get much louder louder than I needed to get but now I don’t have to turn it up, almost all the way to get good volume Thank you so much for these tips

So, if I understand correctly, Dolby Atmos is designed for surround sound speakers, and not for headphones, or AirPods or whatever. So it’s best to leave that off unless you are plugged into surround sound setup.

Tbh, sometimes with the dolby atmos, the songs have been mixed differently so some song will have mistakes in the sounds, effects, lyrics.

Idk if im the only one noticing this but i don’t think dolby atmos has reached a stable point yet

Settings I use are keep Dolby atmos off. Streaming is lossless. Headphone accommodations are tune brightness to strong. Keep mono audio off. EQ is off as well. Turn on spatial audio to fixed if you have gen 3 AirPods or AirPods Pro gen 2.

In my opinion, the best sound experience :)

mono audio
eq has to be flat or late night
turn off Dolby atmos
Headphone Accommodations have brightness or vocal range at strong
