The female singers are sisters Megan (L) and Rebecca (R) Lovell, known together as Larkin Poe, so named after their four-greats grandfather, Larkin Poe, who was Edgar Allan Poe's cousin.

Everybody will help you,
Some people are very kind
But if I can save you any time
Come on, give it to me,
I'll keep it with mine.

This is like two choruses, one after the other. Adds tremendous impact to the passion of this masterpiece.

This is a fantastic and passionate performance of a Bob Dylan classic. The flow of the song is perfect. Bob's tremendous songwriting is a staple for the artists rendition, which places this masterpiece right up there with the beautiful "Who Knows Where The Time Goes?" by the beloved Sandy Denny. I can't get enough of music and performance like this, which is so fine.

Thanks for posting - I'm a Fairport fan, but I don't live in the past, and I love this version!

The definitive cover, definitive performance, historical. On this day, these artists took everything from this great song that it was capable of giving.

Thank you for this. A wonderful reminder of a beautiful weekend. My first time back at Cropredy for 15 years, and it has lost none of its magic.

I was so into this song, my favorite Fairport and Sandy Denny vocal. My second fav would be the demos of “By the Time it gets Dark”. Nice job by all.

Ironic. I was a teen in the suburban town of Fairport. A record collector gave me two records: What We Did On Our Holidays and Liege & Lief, just said he thought I ought to have them. I’ll Keep it with mine was the 1st song that grabbed me. I fell for a mythical singer named Sandy and new musical horizons. I think at the time Fragile was my favorite record. I don’t hear this Dylan song to often. I will take this for what it is, especially with Richard on guitar. Sandy had been gone 38 years at this point.

Fairtport Convention + Larkin Poe = Fantastic perfomance = Real music = Musique sublime

Això és una bona col·laboració: la bona música segueix en bones mans.

it's good to hear this performed live, though I prefer the original version with sandy denny.

Who are the two young ladies doing the singing? I can't faintly hear the memory of Sandy Denny and Judy Dyble behind them.

Who's the young man to the left of the lap steel playing lady, with the acoustic guitar with the teardrop-shaped bridge?

The young man’s singing is Sharp (above pitch) and also very Strident/Forced. He needs vocal lessons. Otherwise it’s a very good performance of a GREAT song. It’s actually one of the first Fairport songs (well, it’s a Bob song) that I took notice of, that is other than Who knows where the Time Goes, Farewell, Farewell and Late November as well as a few others.

This is such a disappointment when compared with Sandy Denny's version.
