Flubigat Eye Drops 5 ml treats and prevents bacterial eye infections. It contains two medicines, namely: Flurbiprofen and Gatifloxacin. Flurbiprofen belongs to the class of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It prevents the formation of chemical messengers called 'prostaglandins' that cause pain, redness, and swelling at the injured or damaged site. Gatifloxacin belongs to the class of fluoroquinolone antibiotics. It kills bacteria by preventing the synthesis of enzymes essential for the growth and survival of the bacterial cell. Flubigat Eye Drops 5 ml is also used before cataract removal and certain eye surgeries.
