As a Costa Rican everything you say is accurate. I’m sorry you had that experience, we can do so much better. Many light skin Costa Rican people from the metropolitan area think they are better than people from Limón and immigrants from Nicaragua specially. They see Limón as the dangerous place in the country. In reality this country has issues all over its territory and you have to be careful everywhere you go. I could comment so much on this topic! If you ever come back I hope everything is better ❤️

Which parts of the USA were u in? I live in the NY area and my experience has been overwhelmingly positive as far as how I was treated. Certain parts of Upstate NY were not so great though..

Australia is really weird when it comes to almost any POC people, there’s such a heavy focus put on race by sooo many people

Thank you so much for your views on the racism here in the USA. Ppl always ask me about “safety” when I travel out of the country. *EyeRoll* I feel extremely unsafe in the US just by existing.

The jittery uncomfortable avoiding eye contact thing...I thought I was imagining it. Its obvious that people who do that probably don't interact with black people, or have some terrible stereotypes about us.

I am a gypsy myself
People are quick to call something racism when their feelings get hurt
Real racism is when a country wants an entire tribe extinct
And that still happens in a lot of countries Also in Europe

As a Costarican, it's true, this is a very xenophobic country, and yes people in the metropolitan area have that complex of superiority, and yes a lot of Costaricans are "afraid" of limon, because there are a lot of gangs of drug dealers, but it's an amazing place, and if you are in the right place at the right with the right people there's nothing to worry about, but at the end you have to be careful in any place that you go because it can be as dangerous as another place.

And sorry, if someone ever made you feel uncomfortable.

P.S: i think in here people are racist, yeah, but it is more important where you are from, because for the clasist and racist people in here it's no the same a black person from de U.S, as a black person from Haiti.

I'm sure this list would be different if you visited Eastern Europe or the Middle East

Pretty cool video!! You should do more of these, pretty interesting to know different cultures from your perspective.
Btw the best coffee is not in Australia. It’s in Colombia, you should go and see it for yourself!

12:17 i got curious, what business do you have in the Philippines? Foreigners can't put up a business in the Philippines unless you have a Filipino (business) partner.
And i dont think your experience there is racist at all.

That's saying a lot about America if you would experience more racism there than in a country just 27 years out of apartheid.
