Just because I can lift something once doesn't mean I don't suffer dramatically afterwards. I have no choice but to attempt things then spend 3 days to a week unable to move at all. Also my ability varies greatly during flare up vs not flared up.

I know someone who had been disabled in a work accident. Then at one point he was told he was being charged with disability fraud.
They had hundreds of pictures of the guy working at his house, going to Home Depo, climbing up onto his roof to work on it.
It wasn't looking good for the guy, until he showed up to court, assisted by his identical twin brother.
All of the pictures of the man working were actually pictures of his bother. There were even several pictures of the brother and the guy on disability and his bother.
The judge was furious at the prosecution. All investigators had to do was look at who the guy had said was his care taker.

When I had my Dr appointment at Social security my mom came with me and dropped me off in the front. I went up the elevator. The doctor wrote on my paper that I walked through the parking lot (lie) and walked up the stairs another lie. She stated they had it on camera. I got a lawyer and and said prove it. The judge took my side and through out the doctors 'evidence '. I ending up winning my case ssi.

I became disabled the end of 2015 and suffer EVERY DAY. I would have no problem if they followed me, I hardly ever go out other than doctors appointments or picking up medications because my pain is constant and horrible. At one point I had 13 different doctors but it's down to 8 now less my eye doctor. I miss my Nursing Job and I Miss Working and Living A Normal Life Pain Free. God Bless All Those Suffering 🙌. If someone can work, you are Blessed, do it! 60 year old New York Resident here

My husband is mentally and physically disabled, and has been for many years. When we lived in a rural area they would drive by on the dirt road all the time, trying to catch him outside doing. something, whatever. It got to be sort of a dark game of Spot the Spy. What an utterly ridiculous waste of time and taxpayer money.

The invisible illness is hard.. the sleeping all day can't take a shower the depression the self loathing the fear of going out the panic attacks.. someone could look fine if a relative is with them in a store but if they are alone they could have all kinds of symptoms.. hard to prove but the person going through knows it would be hard to hold down even 5 hrs of work a week... sad but hard to prove. PTSD . Those who have major anxiety etc .and not to forget the total tiredness and aches and pains in the back etc

I’m not on disability but I am disabled working as much as possible. I feel fortunate enough to be able to work although it’s brutal at times. I have flares that are brought on my heavier awkward positions and sometimes I have no idea what I did. It is insane to think doing something like walking or getting groceries is held against you. I can work in the yard and look fine until rest. I may not be able to function for a day or so. I hope this makes sense but you can’t always tell by taking snapshots

If they watched me they didn't see much. I was honest off the bat, filed myself, got denied in a December, hired attorney, appealed, got approved in March ... I live in pain, miss regular life, but SSDI has improved my quality of life tenfold ... and I thank them every day ...

A camera cannot detect the pain a person feels. Some still do things and bear with the pain it causes instead of just sitting and becoming stiff and stagnant. This is why I don't even attempt to get help because I will not stop moving, just grin and bear it.

I may look pretty good on my way into the grocery store but coming out is a different story. Follow me home to see get the fridge and freezer stuff away and I'm done. Usually for the day. Often unable to actually cook the food I bought for a day or two. After 4 decades I've learned to pace myself. I try not to look disabled out and about because I didn't want that to be the first thing folks know about me.

It really is a catch 22. For many. Personally you will not see me out of the house most of the time. Pain levels tend to dictate my outings. On the days Im able. I try to take care of the essentials. That usually means some time to recover afterwards. They do not take pictures of that.

I've had 2 liver transplants and I also have an ileostomy that I will have for the rest of my life. I almost died before my 2nd transplant. I was septic and unresponsive. Doctors told my wife to start making funeral arrangements but she refused to accept that. Thankfully one surgeon decided to risk a transplant and I'm thankful that he did. After being on disability for the past five years, now SS say I'm no longer disabled. While I was in SICU I caught pneumonia and one of my lungs collapsed and ever since then I'm extremely short winded. Any kind of physical exertion cause me to have to stop and relax so that I can catch my breath. I have very little muscle mass now due to the cirrhosis. There is no possible way that I could work a full time job much less one that would support me and my family. I have appealed their decision. Hoping and praying for a good outcome.

if i noticed a car following me and i was 100% sure they were i would pull over and call the police .I dont think having someone following you and stalking you is legal ..I would feel my safety was at risk

I WAS IN SO MUCH PAIN I RARELY EVEN LEFT MY HOUSE. DRS APPOINTMENTS ONLY, PAIN MANAGEMENT, PHARMACY THEN BACK TO MY FARM. NO STOPS FOR FOOD OR ANYTHING ELSE. THEY DID HAVE INVESTIGATOR AT MY HEARING. HE STATED HE HAD NOTHING TO SAY. NO PROBLEMS

So they don’t have money to pay us so instead of fixing that, they’d prefer to bring on more grief into people’s lives. 🤦‍♀️

If you suspect them watching call the police and tell them you’re being stalked. It will make their days more interesting.

You must stay active !
Not moving will have you locking up and in a wheelchair !
You are the only one that can help you !
Never surrender to the pain !
Move as long as you can !
GOD helps those that help themselves !

To me it is harassment that they would follow a person around
