While i agree you have to base your opinions on your own experiences, i think your expections are too high. While the coast of Croatia is a tourist hub, the inner parts of the country are not. People live real lives and not to cater to tourism. You should feel so privileged that you have found a capital city that is still its raw self and not influenced by tourism. What you find uninteresting is actually real life. Get a coffee, people watch and take it slow, thats the Zagreb lifestyle.

You dont really know anyone in Zagreb. You just visited it for two days, ate a cake and ice cream, walked through the center that's still licking ita wounds from two very strong earthquakes in one year that left it heavily damaged. But then you share your opinion publicly to trash a capital city you have no knowledge about at all. And you use a clickbait title to get more views of course, because in reality the content you make is actually the only thing here without the vibe. If you actually knew what is Zagreb youd know there are many reasons why this city is fantastic and one of the main reasons is THE vibe.

well city is being reconstructed after the earthquake so the views are obviously not the best. it is also summer and the city is usually quite empty and dead during summer, because everyone leaves for holidays. but I can't disagree with her it isn't the best place on earth to be a tourist in, especially if you haven't done a lot of research beforehand or have a local show you around. zagreb isn't a very touristy place, so if you want to get to know the town you will have to have a local show you around. it is a good place to live though, if you have a life here, that's a different story. it is the place where everything in the country really happens (we need to decentralize our country). But also not all cities are for all the people, and that's fine.

The best part of travelling is meeting new people, make sure to not forget that..airbnbs are great but going to a hostel and meeting some awesome travellers is what it is all about, I met some of the best people in a hostel called Whole Wide World in Zagreb that made it all worthwhile

i agree zagreb isnt the best city in croatia but there is no reason to tell everyone else that its horrible. maybe others like it and do you wanna know why its under construction. because it was destroyed by 2 very strong earthquakes in the span of 3 years

As a Croat, I'm ashamed of the graffiti in Zagreb. Soldiers died to free Zagreb, and Croats are vandalizing their own city. What a shame.
