The Names of God: Jehovah Nissi | Exodus 17:8-16 | Austin Hamrick

Moses and the Israelites are making their way to the Promised Land when they are hit by a surprise attack from the Amalekites. God gives Israel the victory as long as Moses appeals to heaven by keeping his ordinary shepherd’s staff raised in the air. It is there where Moses proclaimed the name “Jehovah Nissi”, which means “The LORD My Banner”! There are figurative battles that we may face – battles with lust, anger, fear or worry, to name a few. In today’s message, Pastor Austin addresses how to overcome our battles with the help of God as our “Banner” – the covering we run to for help in times of deep struggle.

Wonderful sermon ! Wonderful encouraging truth explained brother! May God bless you abundantly to grow in wisdom knowledge and understanding of the Lord and fear of the Lord. There was one thing I was disappointed about was the part where you said you had stolen a staf from your dad and said "it's okay to steal from people you know". That actually is a very dangerous statement because we cannot take such lightly, stealing is an offence to God no matter how small the item is. Infact Do not steal is one of the ten commandments and therefore we are not to steal from our neighbors. Your dad is your neighbor. And if such practices are taken lightly, then a little leaven will leaven the whole lump! We can't make compromises with our faith. God bless you abundantly!

The Calculations of YeHoVaH
God’s Divine Name written in Hebrew as YHVH ( Yod Heh Vav Heh).
YeHoVaH (English Jehovah) is 7 letters long.
Based on a=1, b=2, c=3 etc. the 3 vowels added to YHVH, e, o & a calculate to 5+15+1=21
21=7x3 or 7+7+7.
YHVH =25+8+22+8 which calculates to 63.
63 =21x3 or (7+7+7)x3 or 7x3x3 or 7+7+7 + 7+7+7 + 7+7+7
YeHoVaH=25+5+8+15+22+1+8 which calculates to 84.
84=21x4 or (7+7+7)x4 or 7x12 or 7+7+7 + 7+7+7 + 7+7+7+ 7+7+7

Note that the vowels e, o and a are the first letters of Eternal, Omega and Alpha.

The Calculations of Yahweh
God’s Divine Name in Hebrew is changed from YHVH to YHWH ( Yod Heh Waw Heh).
Note the 3 changes of 6 they needed to create Yahweh from YHVH.
1. Change God’s name to 6 letters long.
2. The 6th Hebrew letter is changed from V to W
3. The 2 vowels a & e calculate to 1+5=6

WEH was added to God’s Name YAH.
The 6th Hebrew letter is changed from V to W
WEH=23+5+8 which calculates to 36=6x6

YHWH =25+8+23+8 which calculates to 64.
64=2x32 or 4x16 or 4x4x4 or 8x8
Yahweh=25+1+8+23+5+8 which calculates to 70.
70=2x35, 5x14, 7x10
Note that 70 = 7 heads x 10 horns (Rev 13:1 The Beast with the blasphemous name)
