Chrissie, you are a real gift to us OCD-ers – your videos have given me hope, and helped me feel less alone. Just when I think I found a loophole, which explains why MY OCD is different, I find a video of yours that addresses my "insights". Thank you for what you do!

Your body can perceive imagination as real

I love that you bring up topics that aren't really discussed as much but I'm sure most of us can totally relate. Thanks for all you do Chrissie ♡

So is it the same as feeling like im faking it? Like, I feel like im faking that that I don't want my thoughts, which leads to me thinking it must be real

Be honest with urself and a mentor. Be honest with you. Ocd goes after soft caring people. Why it has us. Like a bully

I have quick intrusive thoughts which I can recognise. But there are ones when I need to assess and if I don't, I can spend the whole day convinced it was true which makes me so incredibly anxious and distressed. My worst one's are when I feel like I actively think of the thought and that i want to think of it, and they feel real and ideated, those ones kill me. No matter how much I resist compulsions I feel so anxious and doesn't dissipate ??

I don’t think I’ve ever heard ocd explained as a communication barrier. It makes so much sense now. Thank you. I can’t express in words how helpful this video has been to me 🙏.

I've been learning about the feedback loop of OCD and how it functions, some observations I've been able to make while supporting someone else with OCD and discussing it with them.

The last three weeks have been quiet and much less intense. Your videos and knowledge will help when the next done spike comes.

So I have a general question, I struggle with HOCD and I start to imagine scenarios in my mind with the same sex to see if I would like doing that said thing. However instead of feeling disgust or anxiety, I’m feeling like I enjoy the thoughts or scenarios and it concerns me. I know reassurance doesn’t help with ocd however I just was wondering if ocd is normal in causing this. I know erp is the treatment but when it feels like I enjoy/like the scenarios, it gets hard to determine if this is ocd or not. I grew up loving the opposite sex and in turn suffering a porn addiction. I also suffered extreme ocd as a kid and even now although I know what it is now. Any feedback would be extremely appreciated.

That was an exquisite explanation of OCD. STOP 🛑 communicating with the argument. ❤️

Definitely feels good to give in to temptations. And then while their briefly away and pretend it's a normal day. Pretty intense though if you're the one in the story involved.

Hello, Chrissie, thank you for your video 🙏❤️Is it possible for people with OCD to feel like they LIKE their intrusive thoughts? And you start worrying more about OMG what if I really like my OCD theme and you actually don't wanna feel like this and suffer?

I have a question, why can’t we cure it? I mean if we keep doing erp, eventually it will lead to full recovery, do you see what I mean? Especially when we know that neural pathways can be erased and re created (like when you change habits) like people when they quit smoking etc, it all comes down to the neuroplasticity of the brain. If you can not react once and dismiss it, why wouldn’t you be able to do it several times? We can’t suppress intrusive thoughts because these are thoughts everybody have and curing ocd isn’t about suppressing them but learn not to care about them anymore like everyone else do and we do this by doing erp . It takes time. I had OCD for 7 years and I’ve been doing erp for 1 year and a half now. It will take time but you will get to a point where ocd will be of the past . I hope you will be able to response . Let’s try to look at ocd from a different angle and try to re ask the real questions and really understand why OCD would be chronic
