Which music distribution is BEST for your release?

I know there have been millions of "how to release music" videos out there that walk you through either the entire process of how to put out music to streaming services. Instead, in this video I thought I would instead highlight the different "TYPES" of distribution services that exist, what features come with the, and the advantages and disadvantages of each so that you as artists can get a better idea of which service(s) you should be considering when you're ready to release a project. Some offer creative tools for the music production process, some offer promotional ones, others with publishing for your music, and of course ones that are completely free to use. Here are my top 4 types of music distribution. Which is right for you?

0:00 - Intro
0:32 - FREE Distribution
5:43 - Promotional Distribution
7:32 - Creative Distribution
9:21 - Publishing Distribution
11:15 - Which works for YOU?

I'm a little late, but I have a question about something in LANDR's ToS that I was wondering if you knew what it meant.

In the terms it says under "Universal Products Codes and International Standard Recording Codes" quote, "We may provide universal product codes (UPC) or International Standard Recording Codes (ISRC) for your Recordings. These codes are provided to you personally, and you cannot transfer them to someone else."
Do you know if this means that I can't change to a different distributor and reuse the ISRC of a track I've already released through LANDR?

I'm just starting to enter into the world of music distribution and I'm sort of looking for a decently priced distributor that allows be to back out of with little to no consequences. I've narrowed it down to either LANDR or Distrokid, but I'm not entirely sure. Do you have any advice for someone who's new to the music industry?

best ones are the smaller distributors as they care about you. I mainly used revelator distributors like laydistribution or viable

i used soundcloud repost for a year now which was always a great distributor. theyre support was a bit whack but it was easy to use. ive just found out that all my music was taken down including songs ive uploaded for other artists. idk if it was because of a specific song or anything or maybe because ive used some youtube beats which i didnt buy the lease for. i know thats not right on my side but hey i‘m an 18 year old artist that still goes to school and not anyone can afford 30$ or more for a beat, and i wasnt making that much profit of it anyways. that shit really makes me think about quitting music cus theres quite literally nothing i can do. the same problems will occur on other distributors and i dont know if i could upload the songs or if i even still got them all. lets pray for me because i really dont wanna quit making music but that shit just demotivates me.

hi, I just saw on the website of Landr that the price for Landr Studio Pro is now 150$ per year (black friday sales). I just wonder that will that price change on the next renewal?

Be careful with United Masters and their 'right of first refusal' in their Terms and Conditions.
