Somewhere in the multiverse, Silent Hill 2 was an 80's movie instead of a game that likely became the next Citizen Kane, completely dominating the overflow of cheesy, low effort B movie gore fests that cluttered the horror movie scene during that time.

This video is so creepy for some reason. Like these are real stills of real people on set for this movie. It feels uncanny, but it also feels so real. Their faces look like a thousand 80’s actors, but still I can’t name a single one. It’s a strange familiarity, an uncomfortable one

I love the aesthetics of all this, I wish it was an actual movie like that

"in my restless dreams, I see that town... Silent Hill... You promised you'd take me there again one day, but you never did... Well... I'm alone there now. Waiting for you..."

Wow this is incredible. This is what a Silent Hill movie should look like. Mysterious, strange, like in a dream. I would like to see such a film.

I like how the james mirror part actually got his eyes fully dark because, In silent hill 2 original james was looking at the mirror and his eyes are fully dark because of the shadow! But when you turn on the brightness to VERY UP as you can see. James was staring at the camera/player this whole time instead of looking himself in the mirror

The James here looks much much better than the remake

man what a great job, It's impressive how you've captured the light in the first photo. What a barbarity

Maria looks absolutely gorgeous which is terrifying knowing what happens in the game

I'd like to see Conker's Bad Fur Day reimagined as an 80s fantasy movie

Amazed how Angela and Laura are so accurate to look like 80's film characters :O

It could also be 90's straight to VHS movie.

This reminded me of David Lynch's films and the overall dreamlike quality those movies had especially Twin Peaks. I kinda wish he was the one to make an adaption of Silent Hill especially since he was one of the main inspirations it seems only fitting.

The first picture mixed with the music is so good

The best Silent Hill movie is Jacob’s Ladder (1990). Session 9 (2001) had a lot of inspiration for the games, but Silent Hill wouldn’t be where it is without Jacob’s Ladder.

Silent Hill as an avant garde Twin Peaks-style show would be interesting, too!

0:33 It's kind of haunting to imagine this actually looks like a real person

If the AI advances into making videos. I bet someone will surely make a 80s style silent hill film...

I remember the first time I watched this film, a buddy of mine who worked at Blockbuster and was a film enthusiast brought a copy of this film to my place, it was around 9 pm, him, my sister, another neighbour and I were all just drinking some beer and eating some Nachos, we weren't even paying that much attention, just joking around and stuff.

Let me tell ya, the scene where James found the Radio and the first monster appeared caught our attention, we were hooked from that point on, we knew this film was gonna be good, but the scene where James sees the Pyramid dude for the first time in the apartments was when we knew this film was gonna be special.

But that ending tho, that ending left an impression on me that lasts to this day, few movies are as impactful as this one...

I wonder how my buddy is doing now, I hope he's doing fine.
