Ingredients
To Make Masala Powder
Cumin Seeds - 3 Tsp
Fennel Seeds - 1 Tsp
Cloves
Peppercorn - 1 Tsp
Cinnamon
Amchur Powder - 1 Tsp
Black Salt - 1/2 Tsp
To Make Mint Coriander Chutney
Mint Leaves
Coriander Leaves
Green Chilli - 3 Nos
Chopped Ginger
A Juice Of 1/2 Lemon
Black Salt - 1/2 Tsp
Water - 1 Tsp
To Make Bombay Sandwich
Bread
Unsalted Butter
Mint Coriander Chutney
Boiled Potato
Ground Masala Powder
Sliced Onion
Sliced Tomato
Cucumber
Mozzarella Cheese
Method:
1. For the masala powder, take cumin seeds, fennel seeds, cloves, peppercorns, cinnamon in a pan and dry roast until they are golden brown in colour.
2. Cool them down and transfer them into a mixer jar. Add Amchur powder, black salt and grind everything into a fine powder. Keep it aside.
3. For the mint coriander chutney, take mint leaves, coriander leaves, green chillies, ginger, lemon juice, black salt, water and grind everything into a nice paste. Keep it aside.
4. Take a sandwich bread slice and apply butter and then the green chutney on it.
5. Place the boiled potato slices and sprinkle some masala powder over it.
6. Then place the onion slices and sprinkle some more masala powder.
7. Take another bread slice and apply butter and green chutney on it.
8. Place this slice on the onions facing inwards.'
9. Now apply butter and green chutney again on the other side of it. Place the tomato slices and sprinkle some masala powder over it.
10. Place the cucumber slices and sprinkle some masala powder over it. Also put some mozarella cheese on the top as you like.
11. Cover this with a bread slice with butter and green chutney facing inwards. Gently press the sandwich and keep it aside.
12. Apply unsalted butter to a grill pan and place the prepared sandwich on it.
13. Apply butter on all the sides.
14. Once the sandwich is golden brown on one side, flip it to the other side and roast by adding butter to the edges again.
15. After it is golden brown on the other side too, transfer it to a plate. Cut it into half.
16. Yummy Bombay Sandwich is ready to be served hot.
