Graham, you didn't mention anything about how much they paid you.
When you saw the money they offered you, it didn't occur to you to question how is it possible they're able to offer you so much? Or to question how is it that they're getting so big so fast out of nowhere? Or to even think "maybe I should be more suspicious of what they say about themselves"?
You didn't even mention whether or not if you were actually suspicious of them throughout the sponsorships. You instead just pointed out how they "passed" you and your lawyer's checks on them, and emphasized how you were "blindsided" by their lies about themselves.
For someone who acts like they're a very responsible person who cares about his audience, this whole event definitely shows a different side of you.
