I love how the 'Sven Hoek' actor pours the champagne with a corked bottle LOL

Take two groans for the two tents joke. You've earned it.

I both loved and was terrified by "The She Creature" when I was a kid (in the '60's).
She turned up in Famous Monsters of Filmland and it was love at first sight!

Thank you for covering this movie. While cheesy, one thing I appreciate about this particular B-movie is the tripartite character study that evolves at the center of it:

Ted, who is legitimately trying to understand whether there really is a universal consciousness and/or how it works;

Lombardi, who knows a lot about its existence and how it works, and cannot be trusted to behave ethically with it, but also cannot directly use it himself;

And Andrea, who DOES have the power to wield the universal consciousness, but doubts her ability to maintain control, and yearns to be accepted and treated with dignity and respect.

It's fascinating how deep a lot of the concepts that B-movies explore can get.

Regarding dogs in film and books. I call it Dog Law: if there is a dog as one of the main or supporting characters, there is a 90% chance that's going to be one dead dog by the end of the movie. This is starting to change as there are more and more movies and books devoted to the dog human relationship, but for a long time dogs were getting frosted (meant "fridged" but I like the idea of frosting) left and right.

In this specific case the dog seemed to make it out alive...but wait, Old Yeller. That book was a real ray of sunshine.

I really enjoy all ur videos through the years. Especially movies and tv shows during the 80’s. Brings me back to when I was a kid. Thanks!

The "you're a pup tent, you're a teepee" bit made me laugh so much I had to rewind it to hear it again. Not sure why that got me lol. But it's always those goofy lines in these videos that are the funniest. My absolute 2 favorite goofy lines ever said in a GBF video are
"Now I'm driving the train" from Neon Maniacs, in Hell of the Living Dead when the zombie sang "nom nom nom" when he started eating a guy. That "nom nom" bit is fuckin hysterical. I show people that shit all the time!

One of my favorite MST3K episodes. Also did people wear suits to the beach THAT much in the old days? Yeesh!

“The She-Creature" is a horror film where the biggest scare might just be the acting. Lots of wonky magic in this B-movie.

Chester Morris was a pretty big star in the days when Solent’s turned to sound and was in plenty of prestigious productions and nominated for an Oscar. But by late 30s he was largely forgotten. He is mainly remembered today for The Bat Whispers - a sound remake of silent thriller The Bat which is credited as the main inspiration for Bat Man. Whispers was also one of the first films made in 70mm. If you love the old dark house mystery thrillers, The Bat Whispers is one of the very best.

Notice how Sven Hoek doesn't actually pour any champagne because the cork is still on. Oh, that Sven!

There are far too many jokes that made me laugh out loud to pick out just one. This Youtube channel is incredible and I always look forwards to the next episode (except I need to make sure I don't eat while I watch it, otherwise I might choke from laughter)

It’s hard to pour champagne if you don’t take the cork out of the bottle.
